Roblox has appointed Joel Neoh as Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Oceania, bringing an experienced technology entrepreneur and business leader to oversee its regional operations. Neoh has more than 15 years of experience across digital platforms, fintech, e-commerce, venture capital and consumer businesses.

In his new role, Neoh will lead Roblox’s regional business across Southeast Asia and Oceania. His experience in scaling technology ventures, expanding consumer platforms and managing diverse markets is expected to support the company’s growth across the region.

Before joining Roblox, Neoh served as Managing Director and Chief Consumer Officer at Prenetics, where he spent approximately 2 years leading consumer-focused initiatives. He contributed to the development of IM8 and CircleDNA, supporting the company’s health and wellness portfolio. He also served as Managing Partner at Europa Sports Partners, a US-based sports nutrition and wellness distribution business. Neoh has been associated with Prenetics as an investor since 2014.

Neoh is also a Founding Partner at First Move, an early-stage venture capital firm established in 2023. The firm backs entrepreneurs and emerging businesses, particularly in consumer technology and artificial intelligence. In addition, he has mentored entrepreneurs through Endeavor for more than a decade.

A major part of Neoh’s career has been shaped by his entrepreneurial journey with Fave, a Southeast Asian consumer fintech platform he founded. Over approximately 8 years, he helped build the business into a digital payments and merchant engagement platform operating across more than 50 cities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India. Fave was later acquired by Pine Labs.

Earlier, Neoh co-founded Rev Asia, a Malaysian digital media group that included businesses such as Catcha Digital, Catcha Publishing and SAYS.com. He also co-founded SAYS.com, a social news and content distribution platform that connected brands with digital audiences. Its acquisition by Catcha Group contributed to the formation of Rev Asia.

Neoh also spent more than 4 years at Groupon, holding several senior leadership positions across Asia-Pacific. His roles included Head of Asia Pacific, International Vice President – Asia Pacific North, Regional Vice President and General Manager – Southeast Asia and India, and Chief Executive Officer for Taiwan. He oversaw business operations across markets including Australia, Japan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other regional territories.

Beyond his executive roles, Neoh has contributed to the startup and corporate governance ecosystem. He has been associated with XA Network as a member and investor and served on the board of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

He completed the Program for Leadership Development (PLD18) at Harvard Business School and pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration at Tsinghua University.

Neoh’s appointment brings together his experience in entrepreneurship, consumer technology and regional business expansion. His leadership will support Roblox as it continues to develop its presence across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
