Servotech Renewable Power System Limited, an NSE-listed company specialising in solar energy and electric vehicle charging solutions, has appointed Shivinder Singh Buttar as Vice President and Head – Human Resources. He brings over 20 years of experience in human resources management, industrial relations, talent development, organisational development and manufacturing HR across the renewable energy, automotive and industrial sectors.
In his new role, Buttar will lead the company’s human resources function. He will focus on strategic HR management, workforce development, industrial relations and organisational effectiveness to support the company’s business objectives and expanding operations in the renewable energy sector.
Before joining Servotech, Buttar served as Head of Human Resources at INA Solar for approximately 1 year. Earlier, he worked as General Manager – Human Resources at Future Solar, where he strengthened his experience in HR leadership and greenfield projects within the solar energy industry.
Previously, Buttar held the position of Head – Human Resources, Optical Fiber Business at Sterlite Technologies Limited. He was responsible for HR and administration across research and manufacturing facilities.
His professional journey also includes HR leadership roles at Volkswagen India and Škoda Auto India, where he worked across plant HR, industrial relations, talent acquisition, performance management and compensation.
Earlier, Buttar served as Manager – HR at Piramal Group and Senior Executive – HR at Videocon Consumer Durables. Beyond his corporate career, he founded Soltastic Power Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and led The Global Star Training Institute, gaining additional experience in entrepreneurship and organisational management.
Buttar has completed an Executive Development Programme in Human Resource Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development from the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR).
His appointment brings a strong combination of manufacturing HR expertise, industrial relations experience and renewable energy sector knowledge to Servotech’s leadership team.
