Indian markets opened higher on Wednesday, supported by optimism around IT sector earnings and Reliance Industries following the launch of Jio Platforms’ $3.2 billion IPO.

At 9:20 a.m. IST, the Nifty 50 climbed 0.78% to 23,066.55, while the Sensex advanced 0.86% to 74,488.6.

Market gains were broad-based, with all 16 major sectors trading higher. However, the broader market remained mixed, as small-cap and mid-cap indices were largely unchanged.

The IT index gained 2.2%, leading sectoral advances amid positive earnings sentiment. L&T Technology Services emerged as a key gainer, surging 10.5% after reporting higher revenue and profit for the September quarter.
