Biswarup Bhowmick has taken on a new leadership role as India Channel Head at Okta, bringing more than 22 years of experience in sales, alliances and channel management to the position. His focus will be on strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding the channel ecosystem, and supporting business growth across India’s digital identity and security market.
Before joining Okta, Bhowmick served as India Channel and Alliance Head at SailPoint, where he led channel strategy and partner engagement. He worked closely with leadership teams to align regional business goals, develop go-to-market strategies, and build a scalable partner ecosystem involving distributors, global system integrators, value-added resellers, and local partners.
During his tenure at SailPoint, he focused on enabling partners to position AI-driven Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, using data insights and automation to improve pipeline predictability and conversion. Partner-sourced wins accounted for 43% in FY25 and 63% in FY26, reaching 100% in the first half of FY27. Partner-influenced wins stood at 100% in both FY25 and FY26.
Across his career, Bhowmick has built partner ecosystems in India for organisations including SailPoint, ServiceNow, EY, and NTT Data. He also brings direct sales experience from earlier roles at Oracle, HCL, IBM, and Gartner.
His expertise includes strategic alliance development, joint go-to-market planning, executive stakeholder engagement, and AI-led business transformation. At Okta, his experience in building high-impact partnerships and developing data-driven channel strategies is expected to support partner-led growth and wider adoption of digital identity and security solutions.
