Xiaomi has hinted at bringing its latest flagship smartphone to India after launching the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China earlier this week. The teaser confirms the 18 Pro for India and highlights its secondary rear display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
Xiaomi India teased the smartphone on X with a “coming soon” message. The teaser shows the phone in a blue finish and specifically names the Xiaomi 18 Pro, suggesting that this is the only model from the lineup currently confirmed for India.
This marks a change from last year, when the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max remained exclusive to China. India instead received the standard 17 and 17 Ultra. The latest teaser could therefore bring the Pro model’s rear display feature to Indian buyers for the first time.
Xiaomi has not revealed the India launch date or pricing. An earlier report suggested that the 18 Pro series could arrive in India by December, but this has not been officially confirmed.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max launched in China on September 23. The Pro starts at CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 86,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the 16GB + 1TB version costs CNY 8,999 (around Rs. 1,29,000). A transparent 16GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 9,999 (around Rs. 1,43,000).
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1,120×2,436-pixel resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. Its 2.7-inch rear AMOLED display offers 596×912-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits brightness.
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 17-based HyperOS 4.
For cameras, it gets a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro packs a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired, 50W wireless and up to 27W wired reverse charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C and GPS.
