Google’s first screenless Fitbit fitness tracker is nearing its India debut, with the Fitbit Air now listed on Flipkart. The lightweight wristband is designed to offer continuous health and activity tracking without a display.
The Fitbit Air supports 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep analysis and automatic activity recognition. It also offers cardio load, readiness score and more than 40 exercise modes, along with up to 7 days of battery life. The tracker works with both Android and iOS devices.
Fitbit Air price and availability in India
The Flipkart listing shows the Fitbit Air at Rs. 13,999, but its availability is currently marked as “Coming Soon”. The listing identifies the device as Fitbit Air with model number GA09509-AU.
Google has confirmed that the tracker will launch in India in October, although an exact date has not been announced.
Tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) claims the Fitbit Air could launch on October 2 at a price between Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 13,999. While the current listing shows Rs. 13,999, the final official price could differ because of offers or discounts.
The tracker was launched globally in May at a starting price of $99, roughly Rs. 9,500.
Google Fitbit Air features
The Fitbit Air weighs 12g and has a screenless design. It includes an optical heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, red and infrared SpO2 sensors, a skin temperature sensor and a vibration motor. It also offers 50m water resistance.
For fitness tracking, the device records heart rate, steps, calories, distance, cardio load, readiness and Active Zone Minutes. It tracks sleep, recognises activities automatically and supports silent alarms and smart wake.
Health features include heart rhythm, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages and skin temperature tracking. The tracker also works with Google Health Coach for personalised fitness and wellness guidance.
The Fitbit Air connects to Android and iOS smartphones through Bluetooth Low Energy. The listing specifies Bluetooth 5.0. Syncing requires an internet connection and location permissions on the connected phone.
Its lithium-polymer battery is rated for up to 7 days of use. Google says 5 minutes of charging can provide up to 1 day of use.
