Mars names Varun Kakaria as North America’s Chief Digital and Information Officer

Bringing extensive experience in digital transformation and business-led innovation, Varun Kakaria has been appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer, North America at Mars.

Kakaria joins Mars with expertise spanning digital transformation, AI, commercial technology and business innovation.

Before joining Mars, he served as North America CIO at Reckitt, where he led technology initiatives for the region. Earlier, he also headed global commercial technology initiatives across sales, revenue growth management, pharmacy and medical functions.

His career includes leadership roles at Philips Lighting, PepsiCo and PwC, adding experience across technology, business transformation and commercial operations.

In his new role at Mars, Kakaria will focus on driving business growth through digital and AI transformation. He will also work on building high-performing and collaborative teams aligned with Mars’ strategic priorities.
