Classplus has appointed Ankit Maheshwari as its Chief Financial Officer, adding an experienced finance professional to its leadership team as the edtech company continues to build and scale its business.
Maheshwari moves to Classplus from Zupee, where he served as Head of Finance. In the role, he worked across key areas including financial planning, capital allocation, investments, governance and the development of finance systems to support business growth.
His appointment at Classplus follows an extensive stint with CARS24, where he spent around eight years in finance and strategy leadership roles. He eventually took on the position of Vice President and Head of Finance, with responsibilities spanning fundraising, debt mobilisation, international expansion, strategic partnerships, governance and finance transformation.
During his time at CARS24, Maheshwari was also involved in strengthening financial processes and systems, including ERP implementation, while working closely with the business on its expansion and capital requirements.
Earlier in his career, Maheshwari held finance roles at DEN Networks, TO THE NEW and IBM. His experience across these organisations includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, consolidation, compliance, due diligence and financial systems.
Beyond his corporate roles, Maheshwari is also associated with Inflection Point Ventures as an angel investor, reflecting his wider engagement with the startup ecosystem.
His move to Classplus brings together experience from high-growth consumer technology and startup businesses with a finance background spanning strategy, capital management and operational transformation.
As CFO, Maheshwari will take on the responsibility of steering the company’s financial function while supporting its broader business and growth priorities.
