After making its debut in select global markets, Redmi is bringing the Note 17 Pro series to India today. The lineup will include the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max, with both models expected to bring different Snapdragon chipsets, dual rear cameras and several durability-focused features.

Redmi Note 17 Pro series India launch details

The 2 smartphones will be unveiled in India today, Tuesday, through a dedicated livestream. The launch will begin at 12 PM IST. The event can be watched through Redmi India’s official YouTube channel, where the company will share details about the new phones.

Redmi Note 17 Pro series price and availability

Indian pricing and storage variants are yet to be officially announced and are expected to be revealed during the livestream.

A recent tip suggests that the Note 17 Pro could start at Rs. 39,000 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The higher 8GB + 256GB configuration could be priced at Rs. 42,000.

For the Pro Max, global pricing offers a reference point. In Japan, the Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at JPY 79,980, roughly Rs. 50,000, for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The 8GB + 512GB version was launched at JPY 99,980, around Rs. 62,000.

The series is confirmed to go on sale in India through Amazon. The Redmi Note 17 Pro will be available in at least a pink colour option, while the Pro Max will be offered in at least the Secret Sunshine colourway.

Redmi Note 17 Pro series specifications

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature a 10,000mAh battery. The company claims it can deliver more than 4 days of battery life on a single charge.

Both phones will feature dual rear camera systems, with the Pro Max carrying a 50-megapixel primary rear camera.

The series will also come with an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance, TÜV SÜD 5-Star Titan Quality-certified durability and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro will use an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro Max will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip. More details are expected during the livestream.
