UVA Community Credit Union strengthens HR leadership with Kiyomi Chandra

Kiyomi Chandra has joined UVA Community Credit Union as Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing more than 26 years of experience across banking, human resources, workforce transformation and leadership development.

Chandra joins the organisation after a long career with Wells Fargo, where she held leadership roles spanning branch management, private banking, affluent-segment management, learning and development, workforce transformation and strategic HR.

Most recently, she served as Lead Human Resource Business Partner at Wells Fargo, leading transformation, operating-model and workforce initiatives across lending, card and branch networks. She advised senior leaders on growth, restructuring and performance while aligning talent, organisational structures, risk and controls across multiple markets.

Before that, Chandra spent more than 7 years as a Senior Human Resources Consultant. She worked with senior business leaders on workforce strategy, organisational design and change management. She also led enterprise HR initiatives covering talent, performance and rewards while developing cross-channel partnerships and leadership practices across regions.

Earlier, as Affluent Segment Leader, she directed regional growth strategies across priority markets and developed a scalable segment model adopted across multiple regions.

She also served as Regional Private Bank Manager, overseeing growth across Nevada. During her tenure, she helped deliver 16% year-over-year deposit growth and 9% loan growth, expanded the private banking team from 7 to 18 professionals and supported revenue performance above annual targets.

Chandra began her career at Wells Fargo in branch leadership and regional development roles, taking on progressively senior responsibilities over more than 2 decades.

At UVA Community Credit Union, she will draw on her experience in human capital management, HR consulting, leadership development, workforce strategy and organisational transformation to support the financial institution’s workforce and the communities it serves.
