Poco is expanding its X-series lineup in India with 2 new smartphones. The Poco X8 5G and X8 Power 5G are confirmed to launch on September 4 at 12:00 pm IST. Both phones will be sold in India through Flipkart, with dedicated product pages already live on the platform.

Poco X8 5G and X8 Power 5G battery, charging details

The Poco X8 5G will pack a 9,000mAh battery, with it claiming up to 3.2 days of battery life on a single charge. It will support 67W charging and 22.5W reverse charging.

The Poco X8 Power 5G will feature an even larger 10,000mAh battery, claimed to offer up to 3.5 days of playback. It will support 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

Both smartphones will support bypass charging, PPS charging and smart charging. They are also confirmed to carry a 6-year battery life rating.

Design and expected specifications

Poco’s teaser videos show the X8 5G in orange and white finishes with a vertically arranged dual rear camera setup. The X8 Power 5G is shown in yellow with a black squircle-shaped camera module housing 2 camera sensors.

Both models are expected to feature 6.83-inch displays and Snapdragon chipsets.

The Poco X8 Power 5G is rumoured to come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Its camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Poco X8 5G may feature a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits brightness. It could have a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera.

Both phones are likely to feature IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. It may also offer 4 Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
