Godrej Industries Group charts ₹20,000 crore investment drive across Haryana

A major investment push is taking shape in Haryana as Godrej Industries Group formalises plans to invest approximately ₹20,000 crore in the state through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Haryana.

The proposed investment will build on the Group’s existing presence in Haryana, where it has invested approximately ₹12,000 crore so far and employs around 9,000 people across its businesses.

Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) will be a key driver of the investment plans. After investing approximately ₹11,000 crore in Haryana, GPL plans to invest another ₹16,000 crore by FY28, taking its total investment in the state to around ₹27,000 crore.

GPL currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. Its upcoming projects are expected to create more than 11,000 jobs.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and has the potential to create around 40,000 jobs.

Beyond residential development, Godrej Ventures, the Group’s real estate private equity business, has invested around ₹1,000 crore in Haryana. It plans to invest another ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram. These investments are expected to create more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs while strengthening Gurugram’s commercial ecosystem and its appeal to multinational companies and global capability centres (GCCs).

“We’re pleased to formalise this next phase of investment through our MoU with the Government of Haryana and look forward to working closely with the state to bring these plans to life,” said Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson, Godrej Industries Group.

Godrej Capital operates 5 branches in Haryana and has facilitated approximately ₹550 crore in bookings through its financing business.

Godrej Consumer Products has 42 direct distributors and more than 250 rural stockists across the state. The Group also spends approximately ₹1 crore annually on CSR initiatives and more than ₹10 crore on infrastructure-level initiatives in Haryana.
