Yotta Data Services is looking to strengthen its presence among Indian AI users with a new ₹10,000 Free Credits Programme for Shakti Studio, its end-to-end AI development and inferencing platform.
The programme offers developers, startups, enterprises, researchers and global capability centres (GCCs) complimentary access to build, fine-tune and deploy AI models using serverless GPU infrastructure. The credits can be used against Shakti Studio’s standard pay-as-you-go rates.
The offering covers serverless H100 and L40S GPUs, billed per minute and scaled to zero when idle. It also includes OpenAI-compatible AI Endpoints billed per token, full fine-tuning and LoRA adapters on proprietary data, deployment of externally fine-tuned checkpoints, and a Developer Portal for API key generation and console access.
Shakti Studio provides access to more than 25 open-source models across large language models, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, image generation and OCR. Users can also deploy custom models on serverless GPUs.
The platform operates entirely from Yotta’s Indian data centres, enabling in-country inferencing, low latency and data residency. Billing is handled in Indian rupees, with no additional invocation or platform service fees beyond compute pricing.
The move comes as Yotta seeks to diversify its client base. Earlier, CEO Sunil Gupta said more than 75% of Yotta’s existing 10,000 GPU capacity was contracted by overseas customers. “The US customers are using this GPU cluster to serve their respective US and European markets—nothing to do with India,” he added.
The programme is aimed at Indian AI startups developing prototypes without committing capital to reserved infrastructure, GCCs building solutions for global parent organisations while keeping data in India, enterprises in regulated sectors fine-tuning proprietary models on domestic infrastructure, and researchers and independent developers seeking on-demand enterprise-grade computing.
