Pune is set to become an important base for The Magnum Ice Cream Company as the business expands its global operations with a new global business solutions (GBS) hub. The company has leased around 67,000 sq. ft. of office space at EON West in Wakad, where it plans to create a talent hub supporting operations across global markets.
The new centre will bring together expertise across key business functions. It will support day-to-day business operations, continuous improvement and transformation programmes, while helping the company execute its strategic priorities across international markets.
In December, the company appointed Abhishek Mendiratta as Head of its Pune GCC. Mendiratta brings nearly 19 years of experience with global organisations. Before taking up the role, he held leadership positions at Genpact and Bank of America, working across GCC operations, analytics and digital transformation.
The company selected Pune for its strong and expanding talent pool, its growing position as a major GCC destination, and the opportunity to build a world-class team supporting the company’s global business.
The Magnum Ice Cream Company is the world’s largest standalone ice cream business. Its portfolio includes Magnum, Ben & Jerry’s, Cornetto, Wall’s and Kwality Wall’s.
