Chanel appoints Hélène de Tissot to lead global finance as Chief Financial Officer

Expanding its global leadership team, CHANEL has appointed Hélène de Tissot as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In her new role, she will lead the company’s global financial strategy, supporting its long-term growth, operational excellence, and innovation initiatives.

Hélène de Tissot brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, and international business leadership. Before joining CHANEL, she spent nearly 24 years at Pernod Ricard, where she most recently served as Executive Vice President of Finance & IT. In this role, she led the company’s global finance and technology functions while supporting business transformation and operational performance.

During her tenure at Pernod Ricard, she also held the position of Group Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions Director, leading strategic growth initiatives, corporate development, and investment priorities. Earlier, she served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Asia, based in Hong Kong, where she managed financial operations across one of the company’s fastest-growing regions.

She also spent nearly 8 years as Group Tax Director, building extensive expertise in global finance, corporate governance, taxation, and business strategy. Her broad experience across finance, strategy, and international markets is expected to support CHANEL’s financial operations during its next phase of global growth.

Before joining Pernod Ricard, de Tissot worked for nearly 9 years at Arthur Andersen as a Senior International Tax Lawyer, advising multinational companies on complex international tax and legal matters.

She completed her studies at ESSEC Business School, earned a Master in Law from Paris II Assas University, and passed the French Bar Examination in 1993. Her combined expertise in finance, law, and corporate strategy has shaped her leadership career and positions her to play a key role in CHANEL’s future growth.
