First American promotes Gautam Mukherjee to Chief Technology Officer for India

First American has elevated Gautam Mukherjee to the role of Chief Technology Officer, India, recognizing his strong leadership in technology innovation, engineering, and digital transformation. In his new role, he will help drive the company’s technology strategy and strengthen its engineering capabilities in India.

Mukherjee is an experienced technology leader with deep expertise in AI, product engineering, cloud platforms, digital transformation, and global engineering leadership. Throughout his career, he has built high-performing technology teams and led initiatives focused on innovation and business growth.

Before his elevation, he served as Senior Vice President of Technology at First American. Earlier, he held leadership positions as Vice President – Platform Engineering at NextGen Healthcare, Managing Director/GM – Head of India Engineering at Avalara, Engineering Manager at UnitedLex, Software Engineering Manager at Sigma-Micro (Fifth Gear), Software Engineer at Kaplan Financial (Washington Post Group) and Pilgrim’s, System Analyst at Georgia Regents Health System, Developer and Research Assistant at Texas State University Lamar, and Management Trainee / Intern at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

With extensive experience across AI, cloud technologies, product engineering, and digital transformation, Mukherjee is well positioned to lead First American’s technology initiatives in India and support the company’s continued innovation and growth.
