Google Pixel 11 series leak hints at price hikes and battery cuts

Google’s next flagship smartphone lineup could arrive with notable changes in both pricing and battery capacity. The Pixel 11 series is expected to be unveiled at the Made by Google event on August 12, while a new leak points to higher starting prices and slightly smaller batteries across the range.

According to tipster Roland Quandt, the Pixel 11 could cost GBP 879 (roughly Rs. 1,12,000) in the UK for the 256GB model. The Pixel 10 started at GBP 799 (roughly Rs. 1,10,000) with 128GB storage.

The Pixel 11 Pro is tipped to start at GBP 1,079 (roughly Rs. 1,37,000) for 256GB, compared with EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 1,27,000) for the 128GB Pixel 10 Pro.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL could be priced at GBP 1,279 (roughly Rs. 1,65,000) for 256GB, compared with GBP 1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,52,000) for the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

The leak is in line with earlier reports of a price increase in European markets. A Google executive has reportedly linked the increase to rising component costs. The higher pricing may also reflect Google’s decision to remove the 128GB base storage option and make 256GB the starting capacity across the series.

Battery capacities could also see a slight reduction. The Pixel 11 is tipped to pack a 4,985mAh battery, while the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL could feature 4,850mAh and 5,115mAh batteries, respectively.

For comparison, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL feature 4,970mAh, 4,870mAh and 5,200mAh batteries, respectively.

The Made by Google event is scheduled for August 12. Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 at the event.
