Strengthening AI infrastructure manufacturing in the United States, Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron has inaugurated a $700 million production facility in Fort Worth, Texas, to build Nvidia’s latest AI systems. The expansion comes as demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow, prompting major technology manufacturers to increase production capacity in the US.

The new facility will manufacture Nvidia’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip, which Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has described as “the most powerful AI supercomputer in the world.” According to Wistron, the Fort Worth plant is the first site in the United States to build and mass-produce the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip.

In addition to the GB300 platform, the factory will also manufacture Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin Superchip, further expanding the company’s AI hardware production capabilities.

Nvidia said the facility is expected to significantly increase production capacity this year, with plans to manufacture tens of thousands of computing boards every month to meet rising global demand for AI computing infrastructure.

The project has already created more than 500 jobs, and Nvidia expects the workforce to grow to 1,000 employees by the end of the year.

The Fort Worth facility is also part of Nvidia’s broader $500 billion investment commitment in the United States, announced in 2025, to strengthen domestic AI infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.

The launch highlights the growing role of Taiwanese electronics manufacturers in supporting AI supply chains while expanding production in the United States to meet increasing demand for next-generation AI systems.
