Sanofi strengthens global market access leadership with Devika Gupta's appointment

Sanofi has appointed Devika Gupta as Head of Value for Healthcare Systems & Economics within its Business Operations organization, strengthening the company’s focus on market access, pricing, health economics and value-based healthcare across its global portfolio.

In her new role, Devika will lead a global team responsible for executing Sanofi’s Business Operations strategy across market access, pricing, health economics and value evidence generation for both pipeline and marketed medicines. She will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop market access strategies, strengthen payer value propositions and support timely patient access to innovative therapies worldwide.

Devika joins Sanofi from Merck, where she most recently served as Executive Director, Global Market Access – Immunology. She led global market access and pricing strategies for the company’s immunology portfolio, overseeing payer evidence generation, health technology assessment (HTA) strategies, pricing guidance and launch planning for first-in-class therapies.

She also served as Interim Associate Vice President, Global Market Access Pharma, where she established and led a global market access organization supporting a multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical portfolio across immunology, neuroscience, rare diseases, cardiovascular and infectious diseases.

Earlier at Merck, Devika was Executive Director, Global Market Access – Hospital & Specialty, leading global access strategies for infectious disease launches and immunology assets while supporting major business development initiatives and building enterprise-wide market access frameworks to strengthen commercialization and portfolio governance.

Before joining Merck, Devika spent more than 12 years at Pfizer, where she held several senior leadership roles across global commercial and market access functions. She led pricing, reimbursement and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategies for pain, neuroscience, cardiovascular, women’s health and emerging markets portfolios. She also contributed to multiple global product launches, payer engagement initiatives and commercialization programs with multi-billion-dollar revenue potential.

Devika began her career at Campbell Alliance, advising global biopharmaceutical companies on pricing, reimbursement, market access and commercialization strategies. She also gained experience in product marketing at Johnson & Johnson LifeScan and engineering at Applied Materials.

With more than 25 years of global experience across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare strategy and commercialization, Devika brings expertise in Global Market Access, HEOR, Pricing & Reimbursement, HTA, Value Evidence Generation, Commercial Strategy, Launch Excellence, Portfolio Strategy, Business Development, Payer Engagement, Market Access Policy and Global Healthcare Systems.

Her appointment reflects Sanofi’s continued investment in expanding its global market access capabilities and accelerating patient access to innovative medicines through evidence-based, value-driven healthcare strategies.
