SwitchOn Raises $8 Million to Accelerate AI-Led Manufacturing Automation

Bengaluru-based manufacturing intelligence startup SwitchOn has raised $8 million in a pre-Series B funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, marking another significant investment in India’s rapidly evolving industrial AI ecosystem.

The fresh capital is expected to support the company’s expansion plans, product development initiatives and efforts to deepen the adoption of artificial intelligence across manufacturing environments.

Founded with the objective of bringing advanced AI capabilities to factory operations, SwitchOn develops computer vision and manufacturing intelligence solutions that help enterprises improve quality inspection, reduce defects and enhance operational efficiency.

The latest investment highlights a broader shift underway in the AI landscape. While much of the recent focus has centred on generative AI, investor attention is increasingly turning towards physical AI applications in manufacturing, robotics and industrial systems.

As manufacturing enters a new era of digital transformation, investments in physical AI startups are expected to play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of factory operations, productivity and industrial innovation.
