Ahead of its official debut in China, Xiaomi has revealed key specifications of the upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro, highlighting significant upgrades in battery, charging, and display technology. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on July 14, while a new certification listing has also hinted at additional hardware details.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro is confirmed to feature a 9,000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging support. This is a major improvement over the Redmi Note 15 Pro, which offers a 6,580mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Xiaomi has also introduced a 5-year battery upgrade guarantee for customers purchasing the phone during its first sale. If battery health drops below 80% within the first 4 years, users will receive a free battery replacement. In the 5th year, eligible users will receive a free higher-capacity battery upgrade instead of a standard replacement.
The handset will feature a flat 1.5K display made with luminescent materials and capable of delivering up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It will also include Xiaomi’s Green Mountain Eye Protection technology for improved eye comfort in low-light conditions. The smartphone is already available for pre-booking through online platforms in China.
Meanwhile, a Redmi smartphone carrying the model number 2609FRA74G has reportedly appeared on Taiwan’s NCC certification database. The listing is believed to belong to either the Redmi Note 17 Pro or the rumoured Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
The certification suggests storage options of 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. It also points to a battery with a 9,210mAh capacity, support for up to 100W fast charging, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity, and an IP68 rating.
Redmi has already confirmed that the Note 17 Pro will also feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection along with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K durability ratings.
