As technology-driven entrepreneurship gains momentum across India, the Uttar Pradesh Government has introduced a new startup policy aimed at promoting deep-tech innovation and encouraging women-led enterprises. The initiative is designed to strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem while positioning Uttar Pradesh as a preferred destination for innovation and investment.
The policy places a strong focus on supporting startups working in advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, semiconductors and drones. By encouraging innovation in these sectors, the government aims to accelerate the development of future-ready businesses and technology-driven solutions.
A key feature of the policy is its emphasis on empowering women entrepreneurs through dedicated incentives, improved access to funding, incubation support and mentorship. It also seeks to expand the startup ecosystem beyond major cities by promoting entrepreneurship in smaller towns and creating more opportunities for innovators across the state.
The initiative also focuses on strengthening incubators, fostering industry-academia collaboration and supporting the commercialization of emerging technologies. These measures are expected to help startups scale faster, attract investment, generate employment and contribute to long-term economic growth.
With this policy, the Uttar Pradesh Government aims to build a more inclusive and innovation-driven startup ecosystem while reinforcing its vision of becoming a leading hub for deep-tech enterprises and next-generation entrepreneurs.
