JSW Motors Limited has announced the appointment of Sudhir Kataria as Associate Vice President – Head of Enterprise Applications & Plant IT, strengthening its technology leadership as the company advances its passenger vehicle and electric mobility ambitions in India.
In his new role, Kataria will lead enterprise applications, plant IT infrastructure, manufacturing technology systems, digital transformation programs, business applications, and technology enablement initiatives across JSW Motors’ operations. He will play a key role in building the digital foundation required to support the company’s greenfield manufacturing facilities and long-term growth strategy in the electric vehicle sector.
Kataria brings more than 20 years of experience across enterprise technology, manufacturing IT, ERP systems, plant operations, digital transformation, and automotive technology. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale technology modernization initiatives, enterprise application deployments, and manufacturing systems transformation programs.
Prior to joining JSW Motors, he spent more than 7 years with JSW MG Motor India, most recently serving as Head of Information Technology. During his tenure, he helped establish scalable technology platforms, modernize enterprise systems, drive digital transformation initiatives, and support business growth through technology-led innovation.
Earlier at JSW MG Motor India, he held the positions of General Manager – IT and Deputy General Manager – IT, contributing to enterprise applications, manufacturing systems, infrastructure modernization, and operational technology programs.
Before that, Kataria spent over 12 years with General Motors India as Deputy General Manager – IT. In this role, he supported enterprise applications, manufacturing technology systems, plant IT operations, and business process optimization across automotive manufacturing facilities.
He began his professional journey with Satyam Computers as a SAP Technical Consultant, where he developed expertise in enterprise resource planning systems, business applications, technology integration, and process automation.
Over the years, Kataria has built deep expertise in SAP ecosystems, enterprise applications, manufacturing technology, plant IT operations, infrastructure management, business process automation, and digital transformation. His extensive experience in the automotive sector is expected to support JSW Motors as it expands its manufacturing capabilities and develops next-generation mobility solutions.
His appointment comes as JSW Motors continues to invest in advanced manufacturing technologies, intelligent factory systems, and sustainable mobility initiatives to support the future of India’s automotive industry.
