Denton brings more than 30 years of finance leadership experience across leading consumer, healthcare, and retail organizations. In his new role, he will lead Nike’s global finance organization, overseeing financial strategy, capital allocation, governance, business performance, and long-term financial planning.
Commenting on his appointment, Denton said he has long admired Nike for its iconic brand, commitment to innovation, and ability to inspire athletes and communities around the world through sport.
Denton currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Pfizer, a position he has held since May 2022. During his tenure, he has overseen global financial operations, strategic planning, capital management, and performance optimization across one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
Before joining Pfizer, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Lowe’s Companies, where he played a key role in improving financial performance, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Denton spent nearly 20 years at CVS Health, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. During this period, he helped guide the organization through significant growth, business transformation, and value creation initiatives.
He began his professional journey with Deloitte & Touche, where he held senior finance and advisory responsibilities, building a strong foundation in financial management and strategic consulting.
With extensive experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, operational excellence, business transformation, and enterprise growth, Denton brings deep financial and leadership expertise to Nike.
His appointment reflects Nike’s continued commitment to strong financial discipline, sustainable growth, and innovation as it seeks to strengthen its position in the global sportswear industry and deliver long-term value for customers, athletes, and stakeholders.
