As Samsung prepares to expand its M-series lineup, the company has officially confirmed the launch date and key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy M47 5G in India. The smartphone is set to arrive with a large battery, AI-powered features, long-term software support, and a high-refresh-rate display.
Samsung has announced that the Galaxy M47 5G will launch in India on June 29. The handset will be available in 2 colour options — Blaze Blue and Rogue Red. The design features a flat rear panel with a pill-shaped camera module, similar to the latest Galaxy A-series smartphones.
The Galaxy M47 5G will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone will pack a 6,000mAh battery and support 45W wired fast charging. Samsung has also confirmed bypass charging support, which is designed to reduce battery strain during usage.
On the front, the device will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Samsung has promised 6 OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates for the smartphone. The Galaxy M47 5G will ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and will include AI-powered features such as AI Voice Transcription.
For photography, the smartphone will come with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). It will be accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, the device will feature a 12-megapixel selfie camera placed inside a hole-punch cutout. Samsung says the handset will support 4K video recording.
The company has also highlighted durability features, claiming the smartphone offers 4x scratch resistance and can withstand falls from up to 2m.
