Before the official unveiling of OnePlus’ next flagship lineup, fresh leaks suggest the company may skip the OnePlus 15s and move directly to the OnePlus 16 series in some markets.
Reports indicate that the OnePlus 15s, which was expected to arrive as a compact flagship, may have been shelved. Instead, the company is said to be focusing on the 16 lineup as part of a broader strategy for its premium smartphone portfolio. Earlier rumours had hinted at delays and possible changes to the device, but recent reports suggest the handset may no longer be part of the launch roadmap.
The OnePlus 15s had been linked to the China-exclusive 15T and was expected to offer flagship performance in a smaller form factor. Previous leaks suggested features such as a large battery and high-end hardware. However, shifting priorities within the company appear to have altered those plans.
While it has not officially confirmed the cancellation, reports indicate that the company could concentrate its efforts on the OnePlus 16 series. The move may also align with the brand’s strategy of streamlining its product portfolio and focusing on select flagship launches.
Despite speculation surrounding some device cancellations, OnePlus has repeatedly stated that its operations continue as normal and that it remains committed to key markets. More clarity is expected in the coming months as the company finalises its upcoming smartphone roadmap.
