
American Express has appointed Vaibhav Srivastava as Director, bringing on board a technology leader with more than 15 years of experience across engineering leadership, big data, machine learning, solution architecture, analytics, and digital transformation.
In his new role, Srivastava will contribute to strengthening American Express’ technology and analytics capabilities, leveraging his expertise in data engineering, artificial intelligence, large-scale platform architecture, and digital innovation.
Prior to rejoining American Express, Srivastava was associated with OnePay, where he held an engineering leadership role and helped drive technology initiatives and digital product development. During his tenure, he contributed to building scalable technology solutions and enhancing engineering capabilities across the organization.
Before OnePay, he served as Engineering Manager at Trepp, Inc. in the United Kingdom. There, he led engineering teams focused on solution architecture, machine learning applications, and data-driven technology platforms. He was responsible for developing scalable systems and delivering innovative solutions for complex business challenges.
Earlier, Srivastava worked as Solutions Architect at Coditas, specializing in big data analytics, enterprise architecture, and modern data platforms. During the same period, he also served as a Faculty Member at Great Learning, sharing his expertise in machine learning, analytics, and emerging technologies with professionals and future technology leaders.
His career also includes a role as Assistant Director at Moody’s Analytics, where he contributed to solution architecture and advanced analytics initiatives aimed at supporting data-driven decision-making.
Notably, Srivastava previously worked at American Express, serving as Manager – Modeling and Big Data Capabilities and earlier as Engineer – Global Digital Analytical Capabilities. During his earlier tenure, he played a key role in developing big data frameworks, analytics capabilities, and machine learning-powered solutions that supported the company’s digital transformation efforts.
Earlier in his career, he held technology roles at HCL Technologies, Samsung Electronics, and Persistent Systems, working across cloud computing, real-time analytics, distributed systems, artificial intelligence, recommendation engines, big data ecosystems, and advanced software engineering projects.
He also completed an internship in Computer Science at IIT Kharagpur, where he gained practical experience in operating systems, networking, and software development.
Over the course of his career, Srivastava has built extensive expertise in machine learning, big data engineering, cloud technologies, solution architecture, analytics platforms, and technology leadership.
