As anticipation builds around Vivo’s next-generation foldable smartphone, the company has revealed several key features of the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 ahead of its launch in China. The flagship foldable is expected to bring significant upgrades in camera performance, display technology, AI capabilities, and multitasking features.

According to company executives, the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a quad rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary camera. The sensor will include optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 1/1.4-inch Blueprint and Samsung sensor, and an f/1.68 aperture. The device will also include a 50-megapixel camera with focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 100mm, along with a Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto sensor.

The smartphone will support Vivo’s Zeiss G2 teleconverter lens and come equipped with the Blueprint Image Chip V3+ to enhance imaging performance.

On the display front, the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature an 8.02-inch foldable inner screen using Samsung M14 luminescent material. The display is claimed to deliver up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness and as low as 1 nit brightness in the “ultra-dark mode”. The handset will also carry the TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

The foldable smartphone will run OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16 and feature an upgraded Atomic Workbench that allows multiple applications to operate simultaneously on a single screen. Vivo will also introduce its new AI Light Office Tool suite with the device.

In terms of design, the handset will feature a 2.5D vertical metal frame and a “Blue Hole colour scheme”.

The Vivo X Fold 6 is also confirmed to be powered by a custom 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. According to the company, the processor delivers 111% higher peak NPU performance compared to the Vivo X Fold 5. The standard version of the chipset currently powers the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 Pro.

With its focus on premium imaging, AI-powered productivity tools, and advanced foldable display technology, the Vivo X Fold 6 is positioned as one of the company’s most feature-packed foldable smartphones to date.
