India’s leading IT services companies are accelerating enterprise AI adoption, with Infosys, TCS and Wipro each expanding their Microsoft 365 Copilot deployments to more than 100,000 employees. The combined rollout now exceeds 300,000 licenses within just 6 months, making it one of Microsoft’s largest and fastest enterprise AI deployments globally.
The milestone follows the 50,000-seat deployments announced in December 2025 and reflects a broader shift from AI experimentation to AI becoming a core operating model. Microsoft said the expansion highlights how organizations are integrating agentic AI into collaboration, productivity and business-critical workflows.
The development also positions India as one of Asia’s fastest-growing markets for Copilot adoption, with major enterprises driving AI transformation at scale.
Microsoft noted that global Microsoft 365 Copilot seats added during the quarter grew by more than 250%, taking the total paid seats worldwide to 20 million. The number of customers with over 50,000 seats has also increased 4-fold year-on-year.
At Infosys, Copilot adoption has expanded to over 100,000 employees across engineering, delivery and corporate functions, with more than 91% monthly active users. Salil Parekh, CEO and MD, Infosys, said, “At Infosys, we see AI as a transformative force to reimagine enterprise value. The real opportunity with AI lies in how deeply it is embedded into everyday work. We are focused on operationalizing this at scale with Infosys Topaz – integrating AI across our workflows to enhance enterprise effectiveness and strengthen our ability to unlock AI value for our clients.”
TCS has also enabled over 100,000 associates with Microsoft 365 Copilot, with 86% of licensed employees actively using AI in daily operations. K Krithivasan, CEO & MD, TCS, said, “At TCS, we have empowered over 100,000 associates with Microsoft 365 Copilot to enhance everyday productivity, elevate collaboration and drive intelligence-led decision making.”
Wipro reported more than 95% monthly active usage of Copilot. Employees generate 7.5 million prompts every month and average 23 AI-driven actions per user each week, resulting in over 250,000 FTE days saved every quarter. Srini Pallia, CEO and MD, Wipro Limited, said, “Our expanded adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot reflects a deliberate, enterprise-wide approach to AI – focused on measurable value.”
The next phase will focus on extending AI deeper into client delivery, business operations and enterprise workflows, marking a continued shift toward AI-led business transformation.
