Lenskart launches AI-powered smart glasses with Buddy assistant and 4K camera

Lenskart has entered the smart wearable market with the launch of its first smart glasses, B by Lenskart, which has already received strong early interest in India.

The company said more than 35,000 users have signed up since the waitlist opened on March 31. The smart glasses are currently available for early access in India at ₹22,000, while the regular price has been set at ₹27,000.

Weighing just 40gm, B by Lenskart comes equipped with a 12MP Sony camera capable of capturing 4K photos and HD videos. The device also features an AI assistant called “Buddy,” powered by Google’s Gemini AI technology.

According to the company, Buddy supports more than 40 languages, including Hinglish, and can provide real-time information using the built-in camera system.

The smart glasses include 3 microphones, directional speakers with adjustable sound modes, and blue light lenses designed to reduce strain on the eyes. Users can also charge the device directly from their phone using a temple-tip charging cable.

To improve transparency and privacy awareness, an LED indicator lights up whenever recording is active.

Lenskart has also introduced a dedicated app that allows users to manage settings and interact with the Buddy AI assistant. Early access to the product is currently available through the company’s website and mobile app.
