DIAGEO India elevates Amitabh Pande to Executive Committee as Chief Strategy Officer

This promotion marks a major leadership move as the premium beverage alcohol company strengthens its focus on long-term growth, consumer strategy, and digital transformation.

Amitabh has been associated with DIAGEO India for nearly 5 years and most recently served as EVP, Strategy, Consumer Planning and Digital. Earlier, he held the role of Chief Consumer Strategy and Planning Officer, where he led consumer planning, market analytics, enterprise strategy, and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.

His elevation reflects the company’s confidence in his leadership across business planning, consumer insights, and strategic growth initiatives.

Before joining DIAGEO India, Amitabh worked at IKEA India as Country Marketing Manager, leading marketing strategy and consumer engagement for the Indian market. Prior to that, he also served at IKEA as Strategic Planner, overseeing strategy planning and consumer insights functions.

He also worked as an independent consultant in consumer insights and strategy, supporting businesses on marketing strategy, innovation development, consumer analytics, and brand growth initiatives.

A major part of his professional journey was with PepsiCo, where he spent more than 14 years across India and the UK in various senior leadership roles. During this period, he worked across consumer insights, strategy, category growth, business planning, and organisational capability development for brands including Lay’s, Kurkure, Quaker, and Tropicana, along with broader PepsiCo portfolios.

Earlier in his career, Amitabh worked at Research International India, where he developed strong expertise in market research and consumer understanding.

With more than 20 years of experience across FMCG, retail, digital strategy, consumer insights, and strategic planning, his elevation further strengthens DIAGEO India’s focus on consumer-centric and future-ready growth strategies.
