In this expanded role Shirish will lead the marketing strategy for Samsung’s smartphone, tablet, and wearable categories across India.

With more than 20 years of experience in consumer electronics and technology marketing, Shirish will focus on strengthening Samsung’s brand positioning, expanding smartphone market share, and leading major product launch campaigns in the country.

The appointment marks another major milestone in his second stint with Samsung India. Since rejoining the company as Director of Marketing, he has steadily taken on larger leadership responsibilities within the organisation.

Before returning to Samsung India, Shirish spent nearly 4 years at Panasonic India as Head of Marketing Communication & Brand, where he played a key role in brand building and marketing strategy.

His association with Samsung also includes an earlier 10-year tenure with the company, where he served as Deputy General Manager of Marketing. Over the years, he has built extensive experience across brand communication, product marketing, and business growth strategies.

Apart from Samsung and Panasonic, Shirish has also held important marketing and product management roles at HP and Times Internet. Industry circles recognize him for his expertise in multi-channel brand communication, consumer technology marketing, and scaling technology-driven businesses.
