Ayushmaan Sethi shares ₹84,000 online scam experience as Archana recalls Dubai fraud incident

Actor Archana Puran Singh and her son Ayushmaan Sethi recently shared details of separate online scam experiences, highlighting growing concerns around digital fraud.

Ayushmaan revealed that he lost ₹84,000 in an online scam linked to the PlayStation Network after his credit card was misused. Speaking in his brother Aaryamann Sethi’s YouTube vlog, he said, “I got scammed, and that became big news because the Cyber Crime branch wants to do an awareness campaign in which one of the interviews will be of me. I got scammed last year.”

Aaryamann clarified that the amount was later refunded by the credit card company and not recovered from the scammers. Explaining the incident, he said, “They took Rs 84K from his credit card on PlayStation Network. The PlayStation Network was hacked.”

Ayushmaan added, “I reported the fraud with the credit card company and they returned the money to me.”

During the conversation, Archana also recalled losing ₹30,000 during a family trip to Dubai after booking tickets online for an indoor skydiving experience through a fake website.

Sharing her experience from an earlier vlog, she had said, “We have been scammed because the website wasn’t real. Did we just get scammed in Dubai?”

Reacting to the situation, her husband Parmeet Sethi remarked, “Enjoy, whoever has conned us.”

The incidents have once again highlighted the growing risks of online payment fraud and fake digital platforms.
