Humanoid robotics company Figure AI has achieved a major milestone after its robot successfully completed a full 8-hour warehouse shift without human assistance. The achievement highlights growing progress in AI-powered automation for industrial operations.
The company shared a live demonstration on X showing the humanoid robot using its Helix-02 AI system to move delivery packages onto a conveyor belt. The test lasted significantly longer than the company’s earlier 1-hour warehouse trials.
According to Brett Adcock, human workers typically process a package every 3 seconds, and the robot came close to matching that pace during the test. While the robot experienced a few slower moments and brief pauses, the performance marked a major step toward reliable robotic labour in industrial environments.
The demonstration also showed the robot operating independently throughout the shift without requiring direct human support. Figure AI said the system was capable of identifying operational issues on its own and requesting assistance from its robotic fleet when needed.
The company stated that no human intervention was required during the self-diagnosis and support process. The development reflects how AI-powered humanoid robots are moving closer to handling real-world warehouse and logistics tasks autonomously.
The successful 8-hour shift is being viewed as an important advancement in robotics, especially for industries looking to improve operational efficiency and automate repetitive physical work.
