PhonePe unveils AI solution to simplify payment gateway setup for small businesses

In a move aimed at simplifying digital payments for businesses, PhonePe has introduced an AI-powered tool that allows small and medium enterprises to set up payment gateways within minutes instead of weeks.

The new solution is designed to remove technical barriers, enabling even non-technical users to start accepting payments quickly without the need for complex coding.

The tool uses AI coding assistants along with PhonePe’s Integration Intelligence to automate key tasks involved in payment integration. This includes handling errors, debugging, and streamlining the overall setup process.

According to PhonePe CTO Rahul Chari, “By layering our proprietary Integration Intelligence on top of AI coding assistants, we’ve created an agent that doesn’t just generate code, it understands payments.”

The innovation focuses on reducing the time and effort required for businesses to go live with payment systems. By automating complex processes, it aims to help businesses avoid common technical challenges.

This development is expected to support faster digital adoption among small and medium enterprises, allowing them to start operations and generate revenue more efficiently.
