Google names Anshul Sheopur to lead global HR operations and AI-driven workforce innovation

In this role, Sheopur will lead global HR operations while driving AI-led innovation across people processes, enabling more intelligent and data-driven workforce strategies at scale.

Before joining Google, Sheopur served as Executive Vice President, People Operations & Insights at Mastercard, where he led enterprise-wide people analytics initiatives to support data-driven decision-making. During his tenure, he also held leadership roles including Senior Vice President, People Operations and Insights, and Senior Vice President, People Analytics and Insights.

Earlier, he spent over 16 years at IBM, holding key positions such as Vice President, Data and AI / People Analytics & CTO, HR (Distinguished Engineer). At IBM, he led large-scale AI and analytics initiatives, building advanced, data-driven HR solutions at the convergence of technology and enterprise transformation.

Sheopur holds a PhD in Operations Management from NYU Stern School of Business, reflecting his strong academic foundation in analytics, decision sciences, and operational strategy.

With deep expertise across AI, analytics, and HR transformation, his appointment highlights the growing convergence of technology and human capital strategy at global organisations.
