Motorola has introduced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Moto G87, bringing a strong focus on camera capabilities and durability. The device combines high-end imaging features with a robust design and modern hardware.
The Moto G87 is priced at GBP 349.99 (approximately Rs. 45,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. It is currently listed on the Motorola UK website but is not yet available for purchase. The smartphone will be offered in Pantone-curated colours, including Pantone Overture and Pantone Blue Atoll. The company has confirmed that availability will expand across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America in the coming weeks.
The smartphone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1272 x 2772 pixels) Extreme AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports 10-bit colour, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 5000 nits peak brightness. The display also includes SGS Low Blue Light and SGS Low Motion Blur certifications, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Powered by a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, the Moto G87 offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 16-based Hello UI and includes features like Hello UX, Moto Secure, Smart Connect, along with Google tools such as Gemini and Circle to Search.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 200MP main camera with OIS and Ultra Pixel technology, supporting 2x lossless zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. It also includes an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front camera. Video recording is supported up to 2K resolution. The phone also comes with Dolby Atmos-backed stereo speakers.
The Moto G87 houses a 5200mAh battery with 30W TurboPower charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, and a USB Type-C port. Security features include a fingerprint sensor and face unlock, along with multiple sensors.
The device features a leather-inspired design and comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification for durability. It measures 164.58 x 77.37 x 7.38mm and weighs 183g.
