Matt Gibson joins Mohawk Industries to lead global marketing strategy and innovation

Matt Gibson will lead the company’s global marketing strategy, with a focus on brand growth, channel excellence, and customer-centric innovation across its diverse portfolio.

Before joining Mohawk Industries, Gibson served as Director of Marketing, Windows & Doors at Cornerstone Building Brands. In this role, he led brand, channel, and segment strategies for one of the company’s largest business portfolios, driving integrated marketing plans across multiple brands and customer segments.

Earlier, he spent over 17 years at CertainTeed, where he held several senior leadership roles. These included Vice President of Sales and Channel Strategy and Vice President Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications. During his tenure, he led large-scale transformation initiatives, built integrated marketing and sales frameworks, and delivered record growth through strategic channel expansion, digital transformation, and customer engagement programs.

He also served as Head of Marketing / General Manager – Siding Products Group, where he managed P&L and led product strategy, marketing communications, and channel development. His contributions significantly supported revenue growth and profitability.

With decades of experience across marketing leadership, brand strategy, sales enablement, and business transformation, Gibson brings a strong track record of driving growth and innovation across global organizations.

Gibson holds an MBA in General Management, Marketing Management, and Strategy from Penn State University, further strengthening his strategic and leadership capabilities.
