Metropolis Healthcare has promoted Jeyasingh Balakrishnan to, strengthening its leadership across brand, reputation, and ESG initiatives as it expands its global diagnostics presence.
Jeyasingh steps into this expanded role after serving as General Manager and Head – Corporate Communications at Metropolis Healthcare. He will now lead corporate communications, CSR, and ESG strategy, aligning communication priorities with the company’s long-term growth and impact goals.
During his tenure, he has played a key role in strengthening brand reputation through integrated communication strategies. His leadership has driven strong PR share of voice, enhanced executive visibility, and supported key initiatives including financial communications, annual reporting, and ESG disclosures. He also contributed to the company’s first Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR).
Before joining Metropolis, Jeyasingh spent over 6 years at Hetero, where he scaled the corporate communications function into a globally aligned strategic unit. He led global reputation management, crisis communication, and corporate rebranding efforts, including communications around major pharmaceutical launches and COVID-19 initiatives.
Earlier, he worked at Cipla Limited as Global Lead – External Communications, where he managed media relations, leadership positioning, and PR strategies for key corporate milestones and campaigns.
He began his career in public relations with Grey Worldwide and Mediacom PR, building expertise in media strategy, stakeholder engagement, brand storytelling, and reputation management.
With over 20 years of experience across corporate communications, brand strategy, and ESG, Jeyasingh Balakrishnan is set to lead Metropolis Healthcare’s next phase of communication and impact-led initiatives.
