Fresh leaks indicate that iQOO is preparing another high-performance smartphone, adding to its upcoming lineup as competition in the premium and mid-premium segment intensifies.
According to a tipster, the new iQOO handset is currently in development and could arrive as either a flagship or mid-flagship model. While the exact name remains unclear, speculation suggests it could be part of the iQOO Neo 11 series or launch as the iQOO 15T. The device is expected to debut in May in China.
The smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution. It may also include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, making the display one of its key highlights.
Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor. This chipset is already seen in flagship models like the Vivo X300, Vivo X300 Pro, Oppo Find X9, and Oppo Find X9 Pro. Upcoming devices such as the Redmi K90 Max and OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra are also likely to use the same chip.
Battery capacity could be a major differentiator. The phone is said to pack a 7,845mAh rated battery, which may be marketed as an 8,000mAh unit. This would make it one of the largest batteries in iQOO’s portfolio.
On the design and durability front, the handset may come with a metal middle frame and carry IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It is also expected to feature a 200-megapixel rear camera, although final camera details are still being evaluated.
In parallel, iQOO is also working on its next flagship device. The iQOO 16 has reportedly been registered in China and could feature an unreleased Snapdragon 8 series chipset. It is expected to offer a Samsung-sourced display with 2K resolution and an “ultra-high refresh rate.”
