Vivo Y600 Pro set to debut with bigger battery and revised camera setup

In a move that highlights its focus on battery performance, Vivo has confirmed the upcoming launch of its new smartphone, the Vivo Y600 Pro, in China. The company has revealed key details including battery capacity, design elements, and camera specifications ahead of the official unveiling.

The Vivo Y600 Pro is confirmed to feature a significantly larger 10,000mAh battery, marking a major upgrade over its predecessor. The device has been teased on a Chinese microblogging platform, showcasing a design that includes a round rear camera module, similar to the previous model. The phone appears in a purple colour variant, with the camera module surrounded by a gold-toned ring.

The handset will feature a flat rear panel and a flat frame. An LED flash is positioned on the top-left corner of the back panel. The power button and volume controls are expected to be placed on the right side, while the left side remains clean.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y600 Pro will include a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor featuring an Aspheric “premium” lens. This marks a downgrade from the 200-megapixel main camera seen in the Vivo Y500 Pro.

The upcoming device will succeed the Vivo Y500 Pro, which launched in China in November 2025. The earlier model started at CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 22,000) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Other configurations included 8GB + 256GB at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 25,000), 12GB + 256GB at CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 28,000), and 12GB + 512GB at CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 32,000).

To recall, the Vivo Y500 Pro features a 6.67-inch 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB UFS2.2 storage. The device includes a dual rear camera system with a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with a 32-megapixel front camera. It packs a 7,000mAh battery.
