Strengthening its regional presence, Sasken Technologies Ltd has launched a new Center of Excellence in Hyderabad to boost delivery capabilities and deepen collaboration with key technology partners.
The new CoE will work closely with strategic chipset companies like Qualcomm and their original equipment manufacturers. As part of this expansion, the company plans to hire over 100 specialised engineers to support operations at the centre.
The facility will focus on engineering in areas such as connected devices, 5G-led platforms, Internet of Things solutions, embedded systems, and digital product engineering.
“The centre enables closer customer collaboration, accelerates engineering cycles, and supports faster product innovation for complex global programmes across industries such as automotive, smart devices, and satellite communication.”
To lead the new centre, Sasken has appointed Nirmala Datla, Chief Data Science and Engineering Officer, as the Site Leader for the Hyderabad CoE.
“She will drive delivery excellence, build next-generation engineering capabilities, and lead talent development from the location,” a company executive said.
Hiring at the centre will focus on high-skill roles in semiconductors, automotive, and data science and engineering. These roles will support advanced programmes in connected devices and related technologies.
“Hyderabad’s strong engineering talent ecosystem enables us to scale delivery, deepen customer collaboration, and accelerate innovation and time-to-market for our customers,” Nirmala Datla said in a statement.
The move highlights Sasken’s focus on expanding its engineering capabilities and strengthening its role in next-generation technology development.
