ASUS unveils ROG Open Wireless earbuds with SpeedNova tech and extended battery life

Expanding its gaming audio portfolio, ASUS has introduced the ASUS ROG Open Wireless Earbuds, built for a mix of gaming performance and everyday comfort. The earbuds feature an open-ear design that allows users to stay aware of their surroundings, making them suitable for both gaming and daily use.

The ergonomic ear-hook design ensures a secure fit without putting pressure on the ear canal, allowing for extended usage without discomfort.

The ROG Open Wireless earbuds have been launched in China and are currently available on JD.com. They are priced at 1399 yuan, with an introductory price of 1199 yuan. The company is expected to expand availability to other regions through its official retail channels in the coming months.

The earbuds support dual-mode connectivity, including Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless via a USB-C dongle. This enables seamless switching between devices and allows dual-device connections. ASUS has also integrated its SpeedNova wireless technology, offering ultra-low latency—up to 6 times lower than standard Bluetooth—for better synchronization and faster response during gaming.

Equipped with a 14.2mm diamond-like carbon-coated driver, the earbuds deliver clear highs, deep bass, and low distortion. Users can choose from multiple sound modes, including bass enhancement and immersive modes, for a personalized listening experience.

A quad-microphone system with AI-powered noise cancellation improves voice clarity for both calls and in-game communication.

The earbuds offer up to 16 hours of playback on a single charge, with total battery life reaching 48–64 hours using the charging case. Fast charging provides up to 3 hours of playback with just 15 minutes of charging.

With an IPX5 rating, the earbuds are resistant to sweat and light splashes. Additional features like USB-C pass-through charging and an extended connector design improve usability, especially with devices that have thicker protective cases.
