In a move aimed at strengthening education in conservation, Anant Ambani is setting up Vantara University in Jamnagar, with a focus on wildlife protection and veterinary sciences.
The university will offer both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The curriculum is expected to cover a wide range of subjects, including wildlife medicine, genetics, nutrition, epidemiology and conservation policy.
Beyond classroom learning, the institution plans to emphasise practical exposure. Students will gain hands-on experience through fieldwork and training, helping them apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.
Vantara University also aims to collaborate with international institutions to support research and learning opportunities. These partnerships are expected to enhance academic quality and global exposure for students.
In addition, the university will provide scholarships for students from less privileged backgrounds. This initiative is intended to make specialised education in wildlife and veterinary sciences more accessible.
