In a strategic effort to strengthen its role in the global technology and innovation space, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inductus Group, a company known for establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The partnership aims to promote Gujarat as a preferred destination for GCCs.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision to accelerate the growth of a strong IT and GCC ecosystem in the state by leveraging Gujarat’s skilled talent and progressive infrastructure. Both sides aim to boost the state’s global visibility and improve its competitiveness as an investment destination for multinational companies.

Under the MoU, Inductus Group will contribute its expertise in GCC advisory, IT consulting, location strategy and investment facilitation. The partnership comes at a time when India is strengthening its position as a global hub for GCCs, with companies increasingly exploring emerging locations beyond traditional metro cities for better cost efficiency, talent availability and scalability.

Mr. Alouk Kumar, Founder & CEO of Inductus Group, said “This collaboration with Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat reflects a shared commitment to shaping the next phase of India’s GCC growth story. Gujarat offers a compelling proposition with its strong policy framework, infrastructure readiness, and talent potential. Through this partnership, we aim to enable global organizations to confidently establish and scale their GCCs, while contributing to the creation of a sustainable, high-impact technology ecosystem in the state.”

Gujarat continues to offer a strong value proposition with its industrial base, proactive governance, infrastructure readiness and focus on innovation-driven sectors. The state’s emphasis on ease of doing business and stable long-term policies further adds to its appeal for global enterprises.

From an industry perspective, GCCs are evolving from cost-focused centres to strategic hubs driving digital transformation, research and development, and enterprise innovation. This shift is encouraging companies to explore new locations that support advanced capabilities, making such partnerships important for smooth market entry and informed decision-making.

As mid-sized global companies adopt the GCC model, the need for structured support, ecosystem development and on-ground advisory is increasing. The collaboration between the Government of Gujarat and Inductus Group aims to address these needs through a mix of policy support and industry expertise.
