The AI-powered design platform Picsart has introduced a new AI agent marketplace aimed at helping creators automate and manage their workflows more efficiently. The feature allows users to “hire” AI assistants that can perform specific tasks such as resizing and remixing social media content, as well as editing product photos for platforms like Shopify.
With over 130 million users globally, largely from Gen Z, Picsart has positioned itself as a more advanced alternative to tools like Canva for content creators and social media managers. After achieving unicorn status in 2021 during the creator economy boom, the company has continued to stay relevant by expanding its AI-driven offerings. The launch also comes at a time when interest in agentic AI tools is rising, driven by viral innovations like OpenClaw.
“Creators have been stuck as the operator of every workflow — the one doing, not deciding,” said Hovhannes Avoyan, Picsart founder and CEO. “Our Agents change that relationship — you set direction, the agent builds a plan using real data, you approve, it executes.” At launch, Picsart is rolling out 4 agents — Flair, Resize Pro, Remix and Swap — with plans to introduce more specialised agents every week. The Flair agent stands out for Shopify users, offering insights based on market trends and suggesting improvements like cohesive product visuals. Future updates will enable features such as A/B testing and identifying underperforming products.
Other agents focus on creative tasks. Resize Pro adapts images and videos to platform-specific dimensions using AI to extend frames where needed. Remix allows users to apply styles like “vintage film,” “watercolor,” or “cyberpunk” across a photo library, while Swap enables bulk background changes. Users can interact with these agents through WhatsApp or Telegram, making the experience more accessible. Picsart also includes “autonomy levels,” allowing users to control how much freedom agents have, including requiring approval before actions are executed. While the platform offers a free plan with limited AI credits, full access to agents will likely require a paid subscription starting at $10 per month.
