Fresh certification listings have revealed new details about an upcoming foldable smartphone from Motorola, indicating that its launch may be getting closer.
The Motorola Razr 70 clamshell foldable has appeared on China’s 3C certification database, suggesting the device could support 33W wired charging. The handset carries the model number XT2657-2, according to a post on X by tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin). The charging speed is slightly higher than the 30W charging support available on the previous Motorola Razr 60.
The upcoming foldable had earlier surfaced on the TENAA certification website and the TDRA database, where several of its specifications were revealed. The Razr 70 is expected to succeed the Razr 60 series, which was launched in 04.2025. Reports suggest the new device could debut in China later this month or in early 04, followed by a broader global release.
According to the TENAA listing, the Razr 70 is expected to retain many specifications from its predecessor. It is listed with a 4,275mAh dual-cell battery, which may offer a typical capacity of around 4,500mAh, similar to the earlier model.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch full-HD+ OLED main display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,640 pixels. It may also include a 3.63-inch cover display with a resolution of 1,056 × 1,066 pixels, matching the display specifications of the Razr 60.
For photography, the Razr 70 is listed with a dual rear camera setup featuring two 50-megapixel sensors. This differs from the Razr 60, which included a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The front camera is expected to remain the same with a 32-megapixel sensor.
The device is also listed with a 2.75GHz octa-core chipset, which is slightly faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor used in the Razr 60. The phone may come with 8GB to 18GB RAM options, while storage could go up to 1TB.
In terms of design, the Razr 70 is expected to measure 171.3 × 73.9 × 7.2mm and weigh about 188g, which is nearly identical to the Razr 60. The certification listing also suggests the device will include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
