A temporary promotional campaign by an AI company is giving users more time and flexibility to interact with its chatbot Claude. The move is aimed at allowing longer conversations and expanded usage across multiple tools on the platform.
Anthropic announced a limited-time promotion that offers 2x usage limits for users of its AI chatbot Claude. The San Francisco-based company said on Sunday that the increased limits will be available for 2 weeks, allowing users to interact with the chatbot more frequently and run longer tasks such as code writing and analysis.
The promotional event is available only for end users and does not apply to Claude Enterprise users.
In a post on X, the official Claude account said, “A small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks.”
The promotion started on 13.03 and will continue until 27.03. It is available to users on the free tier, as well as those subscribed to Claude Pro, Max, and Team plans.
Users do not need to manually activate the offer. Anyone using the platform during the applicable hours will automatically receive the increased usage limits.
Anthropic normally applies a usage limit that resets every 5 hours. During the promotion, this limit will be doubled outside the peak window of 12pm to 6pm GMT (5:30pm to 11:30pm IST). During peak hours, the standard usage limits will remain unchanged.
On weekends, however, users can access 2x rate limits throughout the entire day.
The expanded usage applies not only to Claude’s website, mobile apps and desktop apps, but also to other tools connected to the platform. These include Cowork, Claude Code, Claude for Excel, and Claude for PowerPoint. This means users will get increased limits while automating tasks, performing coding work or using the chatbot within supported productivity tools.
However, users on the free tier will not be able to access these additional platforms because those features are not included in the plan.
After 27.03, the usage limits will return to normal. Anthropic also clarified that users will not be charged for the additional usage during the promotion, and the increased limits cannot be transferred between accounts.
