Anticipation is building for the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G as new leaks reveal its expected price ahead of its official debut. The smartphone, developed by Samsung, is scheduled to launch in India on 17 March. According to a post on X by tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu), the device may arrive with a starting price of ₹13,999. However, it remains unclear whether the handset will be offered in multiple RAM and storage configurations.
The company has already confirmed that the phone will be available in Blitz Blue and Vibe Violet colour options. An official product microsite on Amazon also indicates that the smartphone will be sold through the platform after launch. Samsung has revealed several key specifications of the device ahead of the announcement, highlighting its display, processor and software support.
The Galaxy M17e 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU. The handset will ship with Android 16-based One UI 8 and is promised to receive 6 generations of Android OS upgrades along with 6 years of security updates. The device will also support features such as Now Bar, Live Notifications, Google Gemini integration and Circle to Search.
For photography, the smartphone will include a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. It will pack a 6,000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 26 hours of video playback, described as the longest battery performance in the segment under ₹14,000 on Amazon. The device will measure 8.2mm in thickness and feature a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer back panel, along with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
