Tattvam AI secures $1.7 million to bring AI-led automation to chip design

In a move that signals growing interest in AI-led semiconductor innovation, London-based startup Tattvam AI has raised $1.7 million in pre-seed funding to bring artificial intelligence into chip design.

The funding round was backed by Seedcamp along with other investors. The company plans to use the capital for engineering and research efforts, the launch of its first product, and collaborations with experienced chip designers.

Tattvam AI is developing a new approach to semiconductor design by building intelligent systems that can understand how circuits function. The platform is designed to manage the complex constraints and trade-offs that engineers typically spend years mastering.

By automating large parts of the traditional design workflow, the startup aims to significantly cut chip development timelines. According to the company, processes that usually take a couple of years could be reduced to just weeks, helping speed up innovation in hardware development.

The startup was founded by Bragadeesh Suresh Babu, an alumnus of IIT Madras, who has previously worked at CoMind and Fractile. He is joined by co-founder Lannan Jiang, a researcher from ETH Zurich.

Together, the founders are focused on making custom chip development faster and more accessible, particularly for AI-focused workloads. Their goal is to lower the barriers to specialised chip creation by combining deep engineering knowledge with advanced AI-driven automation.
